Ronelle Brink (nee Jackson) was born and raised in Uitenhage where she attended Dower Practising School and Uitenhage High School.
Mrs Brink seeked further education at the University of Port Elizabeth, now called the Nelson Mandela University. She studied towards a BJURIS, LLB and LLM.

She started her career by working at the local Magistrates Court in Uitenhage for 10 years dealing with a wide variety of criminal offences. She was then promoted and got a post in Port Elizabeth. She is currently working as a Senior State Advocate at the National Prosecuting Authority at the Specialised Commercial Crime Unit. She deals with the prosecution of serious corruption and complex crime cases. Mrs Brink has the following to say about her career, “It is very hard work and requires one to burn the midnight oil very often.”

Mrs Brink is one of very few females working in this male dominated field and is passionate about the education of females. She chose this career field as she believes in fighting for what is right and making a difference in people’s lives.

Mrs Brink joined the SGB of Riebeek College in 2016 and was elected the chairperson of the SGB in the year 2017. She has two teenage daughters both attending Riebeek College and believes in the values and ethos of the school.  She is married to Jacques Brink who has his own engineering business in Uitenhage. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, oil painting, reading and travelling the world.

She is also involved in the community.  She has been a speaker at various community events and wishes to inspire the community to educate themselves.

She lives by the following quote by Mother Teresa, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
